Use of Cookies

The Practical Romantic collects no identifiable data from its non-members or visitors. Cookies are used only in the phpbb forum ("The Practical Romantic Forum") and to maintain a member's logged-in status.  Name and address information is required for members, and this information is never revealed or shared.  Financial transactions are handled by PayPal and never seen by The Practical Romantic.

A cookie is a small information file placed and stored on the user’s computer. Cookies are not linked to any personally identifiable information and are viewed by anyone at The Practical Romantic.  . The Practical Romantic DOES NOT allow cookies to be placed for the purpose of tracking any user's movements, browsing habits or to gather any identifiable information from its visitors. The Practical Romantic does not track or record a user's movements within the site.

Special privacy issues concerning greeting cards

The greeting cards available on The Practical Romantic website require visitors to enter names and e-mail addresses of sender and recipient and may contain private information.  The Practical Romantic has no access to the user-generated content of greeting cards.

The Practical Romantic does not share any user information with any third parties (including advertisers) under any circumstances unless legitimate court warrant is issued  before the cards in question have expired. Cards expire in a set period of time and after that can not be retrieved. No copies of card data are created, online or offline. While the cards are awaiting pick-up, the messages contained cannot be read by third parties and are not read by humans or robots.

The Practical Romantic is not responsible for the grammar, spelling, views, opinions and or tastes expressed in any greeting card or other message sent from our site nor for the frequency at which a message may be sent.
