Settings for Internet Explorer 7

Microsoft has finally released a long overdue update to Internet Explorer which tightens security and brings functions that have been standard on other browsers for years. I commend them. Unfortunately, the setting that prevents unwanted pop-ups also disables the history function that records which card was sent to whom from your address book. Luckily, there is a setting to tell IE7 it's ok for TPR to record entries into the history.

The history function is triggered by leaving or closing the "Card Sent" confirmation page, when a small popup window appears stating "Saved to History", then automatically disappears. This is how to tell IE7 it's ok for this to happen:

Click on "Tools" in the IE7 menu bar:

Go to "Pop-up Blocker", then "Pop-up Blocker Settings":

In the Pop-up Blocker window field "Address of website to allow:", enter "*.thepracticalromantic.com" (without the quotes) and click "Add":

Close the Pop-up Blocker window and you're ready to go.
